Welcome to the official website of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Czech Republic.

As an ambassador of the State of Qatar in Prague, I hope that you will find useful information on our website about the State of Qatar, its people, its culture, its institutions, and its diverse economy, in addition to practical information about traveling in Prague.

It is a great honor to represent the State of Qatar in the Czech Republic, and to work to strengthen the close ties between the two countries.

Qatar and the Czech Republic share close partnership and cooperation on a number of important issues. The embassy works to implement a wide range of common political, commercial, security, cultural, educational and economic interests between the State of Qatar and the Czech Republic.

This website aims to provide information about our work in the Czech Republic, our consular services, and to provide information about Qatar and the Czech Republic.

We are here to strengthen Qatari-Czech relations and serve Qatari citizens.

Academic Qualifications

  • University of Colorado, Denver. Bachelors in finance. 2001.

Work Experience

  • 2002-2004: Financial Auditor, QATARGAZ, Doha.

  • 2006-2016: Director • Representative of the State of Qatar. Ministry of Economy and Commerce. Diplomatic Status, Minister Plenipotentiary. Established and Directed the Office of the State of Qatar in Geneva. Represented the State of Qatar, and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in the economy-and- trade- related events at the International Organizations in Geneva such as: WTO’s Ministerial Conferences (MC5 till MC10), General Council, Trade Negotiation Committee, Council for trade in Services, Council for trade in Goods, and Council for TRIPs, in addition to the subsidiary bodies. United Nations Conferences on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and their preparatory meetings’ World Intellectual Properties Organization (WIPO) conferences and meetings’ Head of Delegations meetings’ Informal Group of Developing Countries’ Trade Policy Review Meeting of the State of Qatar Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meetings.

  • 2016-2018: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Doha Qatar

  • 2018- July2021: Consul General of the State of Qatar in New York City.
    Oversee the Consulate jurisdictions of the 17 States under our belt, Northeast and Midwest. To strengthen the State of Qatar relationship through trade and mutual interest with its local government and Department of State Consular affairs.

  • November 2021: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to The Netherlands 2021-2023

  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to The Netherlands from 2023
