Qatari-Czech relations began in 1993 with non-resident embassies, a framework that remained in place until 2022 when the Czech Republic opened its embassy in Doha. This was followed by the opening of the Qatari embassy in Prague in 2023. Since then, bilateral relations have been characterized by stability and positivity, with a clear focus on political, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as in the fields of energy, defense, and education. The two countries also maintain regular exchanges of official visits and coordinate their positions in international forums, with no significant points of contention between them.
